Bessie (Nell) Jeanell Harrell

Bessie Jeanell (Nell) Harrell, 87, of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2023. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Victory Baptist Church; 5687 Houston Rd, Macon, GA 31216. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Pastor Jim Lane will officiate.

Born in Dodge County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Charles Ellis Rogers and Bessie Lane Rogers.
She was the last living founding member of the Victory Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lovett Harrell; brothers, Bill Rogers, Harrell (Bo) Rogers, Carra Rogers.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda Lord (Glenn), and Joan Smith (Nathan); Brother, Charles Rogers; Grandchildren, Craig Hightower (Danielle), Amy Owens (Chris), Kimberly Sego (Michael), Matt Fletcher (Leigh) and Michael Allen (Jessica); Fourteen great grandchildren and her wonderful caregiver Meme (Tameterice Clowers).

In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice.
