Bennie Joe Tyson, 72, of Macon, Georgia passed away Monday, October 9, 2017. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in Northway Church, 5915 Zebulon Road Macon, Ga. 31210. The family will have a time of visitation from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. Friday in the church and on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. in Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville, Ga. with at chapel service beginning at 4:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Vickers Church Cemetery, Enigma, Ga.
Born in Berrien County, he was the son of the late Noah Tyson and Agnes O'Neal Tyson. Over the last 50 years, Bennie spent a lifelong career in sales. He started his career in the automotive industry, a career that was always dear to his heart. For the past 35 years, he was the co-owner and operator of Tyson Enterprises, which sells the Rainbow Cleaning System. When it came to his business, he had remarkable leadership qualities. His value of customer service will not soon be forgotten by the many that he served faithfully throughout the Middle Georgia area. He was a devoted follower of Christ and a member of the True Vision Church in Forsyth. His love for his family was first. The legacy of his character will be cherished by the ones who loved him dearly.
Mr.Tyson was preceded in death by his siblings, Alveda Clements, Leona Jacobs, Clisten Luke, and Bobby Tyson.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Walker Tyson, Children, Melanie Brown(Kevin), Jody Tyson(April) and Heather Flores(P.J.) Siblings, Buddy Tyson of Macon, Billy Tyson(Carol) of Nashville, Ga., Juanita Spikes of Pearson, Ga., Ann Sue Wiggins(Darrell) of Tifton; Brother in law, O.J. Jacobs of Tifton, Kenneth Walker(Nancy) of Macon, and Sister in law, Beverly Clanton of Lakeland, Ga. Nine Grandchildren and Five great grandchildren.
