Belinda Byrd

Belinda Louise Nicholson Byrd, 68, of Lizella, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2023. The family will greet friends on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. immediately following the service; Belinda will be laid to rest in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Her son in law, Reverend Benjamin Newberry will officiate.

Belinda was born on November 22, 1954 in Barnesville, Georgia to the late Daniel and Virginia Nicholson. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the owner and operator of Byrd Flooring. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing, singing, beach trips and most of all the time she spent with her family and friends.

Belinda was preceded in death by parents as well as her husband; Stephen Byrd.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family. Her children; Jenny Rowell (Brant), Ashley Newberry (Benjamin) and Stephen Byrd (Sherri). Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, as well as her siblings; Dan Nicholson and Teresa McCormick, along with her lifelong best friend, Nancy Harris.
