Becky Marshall Johnson, 78, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

A Graveside Service to celebrate Becky’s life will be held at a later date

Born on May 13, 1948, in Macon, Georgia, Becky was the daughter of the late Thomas Marshall and Vidas Marshall. She was a sweet, kind, selfless, and loving woman whose gentle spirit and caring heart touched the lives of all who knew her.

Becky found joy in the simple things that made life special. She loved relaxing at home and watching her favorite television programs, especially In the Heat of the Night, Nash Bridges, and Reba. Music was another great source of happiness throughout her life, and she enjoyed listening to the Bee Gees, The Carpenters, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and many other beloved artists. These songs became part of the soundtrack of the many wonderful memories she made throughout her life.

A true lover of the outdoors, Becky found peace and happiness in nature. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, fishing, and spending time surrounded by animals. Her compassion for animals was evident in the way she cared for every living creature she encountered. One of the many examples of her tender heart was when she rescued a blue heron that had been injured. Becky lovingly cared for the bird, even making a cast for its injury, and eventually released it back into the wild once it was healthy. It was a reflection of the kind of person she was, someone who cared deeply, gave freely of herself, and wanted to help wherever she could.

Above all else, Becky loved her family. She treasured the time she spent with those closest to her and created a legacy of love that will continue through the generations. Her kindness, selflessness, warmth, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Larry Johnson Sr.; her brother, Forest Marshall; and her beloved fur baby, Missy.

Those left to cherish Becky’s memory include her son, Dale (Rebecca) Johnson; daughters, Lisa (Joseph) Howell and Jennifer Ferrell; brother, Thomas (Tricia) Marshall Jr.; grandchildren, Aleyiah Johnson and Caleb Ferrell; great-grandchild, Carson Johnson; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Becky’s family will forever remember her for her gentle heart, her love of nature and animals, her appreciation for good music and favorite television shows, and most of all, the love she so freely gave to her family. Though she is no longer with them, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in their hearts forever.
