Barbara Toler, a treasured resident of Lizella, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 11th, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on Wednesday, July 23rd, 1952, in Macon, Georgia, Barbara lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to her family and community.
Barbara devoted her career to the Georgia Farm Bureau, where she thrived as a bookkeeper before enjoying a well-earned retirement. Known for her selflessness and unwavering dedication, she spent her leisure time solving puzzles and exploring her interests on her iPad. Her work ethic and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 34 years, Steve Toler; her father, Bobby McCallum; and her brother, Brad McCallum. Barbara is survived by her cherished mother, Dorothy McCallum, and her beloved children: son Michael Jernigan and his wife JoAnna, daughters Jessica Powell and her husband Brian, and Jennifer Mayfield and her husband Chad. She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Ronnie, Dennis, Bobby Wayne McCallum, and Lisa Dale.
Barbara's legacy continues through her grandchildren—Jimmy, Ashley, DaKota, MonTana, Remi, Conner, Cate, Alley, Ayla, and Matthew—and her great-grandchildren—Hagen, Will, Waylon, Rory, MaSon, JaxSon, GraySon, and Salem—each of whom brought immense joy to her life.
The family will receive friends during a visitation at FairHaven Funeral Home, Macon, Georgia, on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held to honor Barbara's life at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 14th, 2026, at Midway Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia. Barbara will be laid to rest beside her husband Steve in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Mike Fuller will officiate.
