Barbara Ann Powers, 71, of Garden City, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020. A celebration of life will be held on a later date.
Ms. Powers was born on July 2, 1949, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Clifford L. Powers, Sr. and Christine F. Powers Hancock. She graduated from Miller Highschool in 1967. Ms. Powers attended The University of Georgia and Georgia Southern University. She retired from Garden City, where she was employed as the city accountant.
Ms. Powers was preceded in death by her sister, Gertrude "Trudy" Pierce; and brothers, Robert "Bob" Powers and Clifford L. Powers, Jr.
Ms. Powers is survived by her life partner, Gary Harden; brother, Richard A. Powers (Sarah); step-daughter, Ginny Eden; and several nieces and nephews.
