Barbara Knowles

Ms. Barbara Booker Knowles, age 68, of Macon, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon after a brief illness. She was a longtime member of St. Andrew Christian Church of Macon. She taught classes on chair caning at Macon Junior College and was a former member of the Mary Hammond Washington chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her parents, M.P. and Frances Booker; and brother, Tracy Booker.
Ms. Knowles is survived by one daughter, Ginger Nelms of Vidalia; one son, James Knowles, Jr. and wife Sherry of Macon; four grandchildren, Rachel and Raymond Nelms III of Vidalia, and Chandler and Chloe Knowles of Macon.
The family will receive friends at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Thursday evening, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 .PM.Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 10th at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon, with Reverend John Hughey officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
