Arthur Smith

Arthur L. Smith, 75, of Byron, Georgia passed away Friday, July 13, 2018. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, the Reverend Lanny Early will officiate. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home, Macon, Georgia.
Born in Dublin, Georgia, he was the son of the late Albert and O'Rita Toole Smith. He was a sheet metal fabricator for many years. He was also an avid outdoors man and said to be the best fire builder around. Some of his passions were flagging motocross races, playing poker and shooting pool. He could always be counted on for having a good time. Most of all he loved his family dearly, who will miss him tremendously. Arthur was also "Grandpa" to many others then just his family and had a very profound impact on a lot of lives. Arthur was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Smith and Wilbur Smith; Sisters, Dorothy Green, Lois Dubose, Shirley Killingsworth, Linda Culver and Gwen Smith. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law Gary Middlebrooks.
Left to cherish his memory will be his daughter, Sandra Middlebrooks; Brother, Leonard Smith; Sisters, Gayle Davis, Rita Griffin, Patsy Joiner, Qwen Willis and Brenda Howard; Grandchildren, Randall White, Brent Middlebrooks (Robyn), Chad White (Krista), Brandon Middlebrooks and seven, Great-Grandchildren.
