Annie Ruth Camps, 73, of Macon, Georgia passed away surrounded by her family and friends on Saturday, January 7, 2017. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 12 noon in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Paul Meadows and Reverend Russell Whitehurst will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation from 11:00 a.m. till service time in the church on Tuesday.
Born in Peach County, she was the daughter of the late Henry B. Taylor and Pauline Darley Taylor. She was the widow of Reverend Felix Camps, III. She was the owner and operator of Rooms by Ruth Interior Design, and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, but also attended New Life Church. She was a devoted mother, Grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
She is preceded in death by her two sons, Duane and Dale Camps, Sisters, Rosa Lee Garrett and Paulette Taylor; Brother, Bernard Taylor.
She is survived by her children, Denise Jones(Woody, Jr.) of Byron; Darrell Camps(Tina) of Macon; Grandchildren, Derek Camps, Jennifer Larsen, Joshua Jones, Tyler Camps, Hayden Camps, and Anderson Camps. Great grandchildren, Macayla Camps and Jackson Camps. Sister, Shirley Odom(Ray) of Byron, Daughter in law, Sharon Camps and Sister in law, Cathy Taylor.
