Amelia Nicole Barrett, 4, of Macon, Georgia ran into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, September 26, 2024, surrounded by her family. A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024. The family invites friends to join them on hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Pastor Johnny Baggett will officiate the service.

Amelia was born on June 24, 2020, in Macon, Georgia to Mr. Vasha Martez Johnson and Ms. Lesley Nichol Barrett. She was a radiant young girl whose spirit shone brightly, even in the face of an extended illness. With her infectious laughter and sassy charm, she spread joy to everyone around her, embodying resilience and strength. Amelia loved to dance, her little feet moving to the rhythm of life, going to church with her grandma, and she never missed an episode of Coco Melon, giggling at every colorful adventure. Though her battle was fierce, she faced it with a warrior's heart, refusing to let her sickness define her. Instead, she will be remembered for the love she shared and the light she brought into the world, a true testament to the vibrant soul she was. Amelia will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. For we know that she is with Jesus, and we will see her again.

In addition to her parents, her sisters will carry on her legacy and forever cherish their memories with her, Laniyah Barrett and Avionna Morris. She has an enormous family that loved her dearly and will miss her tremendously.
