Alan Bruce Cortes, Sr.

Alan Bruce Cortes, Sr., 77, of Macon passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. Pastor Ronnie Hollis, Jr. will officiate.
Mr. Cortes was born in Pensacola, Florida to the late Joel and Winnie Cortes. He was of the Catholic Faith and attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, and spent many Saturdays yelling "Go Dawgs!" Mr. Cortes enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Every October, he looked forward to attending the Georgia National Fair with his family and watching his grandkids share the same love of the fair as he did. Mr. Cortes spent a lot of time playing pool and was often the life of the party. His love, devotion, humor and smile will be missed by all whom knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cortes was preceded in death by his brother David Cortes.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Alan Cortes, Jr. and Amy Cortes Gilpin; siblings, Kenny Cortes (Janice), Richard Cortes , Sandy Corley (Morgan), Stevie Cortes (Trisha) and Glen Cortes (Kathy); grandchildren, Cason Gilpin, Abriana Cortes, and Tyler Cortes; a host of loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
